Do you have an under-used space that needs to be filled?
Meantime supports building owners in activating their under-used storefronts. We’ll match your space with a programmer looking for a street-facing commercial spot in Philadelphia.

THINGS TO KNOW
-
You can be as involved as you want to be! Some building owners choose to hand over a key, and others want to be more involved in the fitout and programming.
At minimum, you’ll sign a license agreement with Meantime that adds you as an “additional insured” under our insurance policy.
Compensation for utilities is typical, but Meantime does not offer rent subsidies for activations. But active spaces lease better than desolate ones!
-
Typical keyholders include Meantime and a primary point of contact from the programmer. Keyholder access will be discussed before the activation so that you feel comfortable throughout the process.
-
Nope! Not unless you want to. In some cases, updates are necessary (we won’t put our activators in spaces that are hazardous or unsafe). And rest assured –Meantime will never make alterations to your space without your consent.
-
Have something specific in mind? We are open to collaborating! It’s important to us that both building owners and activators have a great experience with Meantime.

First off, being a partner with your community to bring life to your block has numerous positive impacts. It could also spur others to do the same - snowball effect.
But more specifically, temporary programming helps demonstrate the value of your commercial space by showing it in its best form – when it’s busy and occupied. This helps potential lessees feel what is possible and what it would be like to lease your space.
